Pharmacy Technician

Job Purpose and Summary

We help people navigate the health care system and their personal health care by improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner for every meaningful moment of health. Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
• Support the pharmacy team in fulfilling prescriptions safely and accurately
• Show empathy and genuine care to create heartfelt and personalized moments for patients
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by assisting with inventory activities and immunizations
• Stay flexible for both scheduling and business needs, contributing to a safe and inclusive team dynamic
• Support additional patient health care services as allowed by law and supported by required training and certification
• Complete additional licensure and training requirements to obtain Technician Immunizer status
• Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions, and report adverse reaction events
• Manage vaccine supplies and track patient information

Requirements

• Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
• Must complete required training within designated timeframe
• Must have attention and focus, and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
• Must have physical abilities to lift and move items, and perform tasks requiring precision and flexibility

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Must have 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Preferred: Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Must be able to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
