Job Purpose and Summary
We help people navigate the health care system and their personal health care by improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner for every meaningful moment of health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within your store.
Responsibilities
- Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
- Support the pharmacy team in safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
- Show empathy and genuine care by creating heartfelt and personalized moments, offering immunizations, and demonstrating compassionate care
- Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law and as directed by the pharmacy leadership team
- Contribute to a high-performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge
- Support additional patient health care services, such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and volunteering at offsite clinics
- Comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles, and follow CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety
Requirements
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- Must have the necessary state-level licensure and national certification requirements, which vary by state
Qualifications
- Must have 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting is preferred
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
Pay
The typical pay range for this role is $16.50 - $25.00. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
