Pharmacy Technician

Job Purpose and Summary

Pharmacy Technicians play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise. They assist in operational and service excellence, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and provide compassionate care.

Required Qualifications

• Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy.
• Age: Must be at least 16 years old.
• Licensure/Certification: State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.

Essential Functions

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Attention and Focus: Ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly.
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: Actively help people and respond appropriately to patients and colleagues.
• Communication Skills: Use and understand verbal and written communication.
• Mathematical Reasoning: Use math to solve problems.
• Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve challenging patient or colleague interactions.
• Physical Demands: Be mobile and upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and bend, stretch, and reach overhead.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
• Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is $18.00 - $28.00 per hour or $37,600 - $56,800 per year for full-time employees. Actual pay will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, and location.
