Job Purpose and Summary
We help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health by following all company SOPs at each workstation. You'll support the pharmacy team in fulfilling prescriptions safely and accurately, providing compassionate care, and contributing to a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation
- Support the pharmacy team in fulfilling prescriptions safely and accurately
- Show empathy and provide personalized care to patients
- Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law
- Contribute to a high-performing team and embrace a growth mindset
- Support additional patient health care services like immunizations and point-of-care testing
- Comply with relevant laws and regulations, and follow CVS policies and procedures
- Support immunizations by obtaining Technician Immunizer status, educating patients, monitoring adverse reactions, and managing vaccine supplies
Requirements
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- Must complete required training within designated timeframe
- Must have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Must have attention and focus, and communication skills
- Must have physical abilities to lift, scan, and bag items, and perform other tasks as directed
Qualifications
- Must have 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Preferred previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Must be able to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
