Pharmacy Technician
Job Purpose and Summary
We help people navigate the health care system and their personal health care by improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner for every meaningful moment of health. Within our Retail locations, Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise.
Responsibilities
- Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
- Support the pharmacy team in fulfilling prescriptions safely and accurately
- Show empathy and provide personalized care to patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by offering immunizations and other services
- Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law
- Support the pharmacy team in maintaining a safe and inclusive environment
- Support additional patient health care services, such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and volunteering at offsite clinics
- Comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles
- Support immunizations by obtaining necessary licenses and training, educating patients, monitoring adverse reactions, and managing vaccine supplies
Requirements
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- Must have completed required training within designated timeframe
- Must have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Must have attention and focus, ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time, and ability to pivot quickly from one task to another
- Must have communication skills, including the ability to use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
- Must have mathematical reasoning and problem resolution skills
- Must have physical demands, including the ability to lift up to 20 lbs and/or exert up to 20 lbs of force, frequently lift up to 10 lbs and/or exert up to 10 lbs of force, and occasionally lift and/or exert a negligible amount of force to move objects
Qualifications
- Must have 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Must have previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Must have the ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is $17.30 - $27.30. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
