Pharmacy Technician

Job Purpose and Summary

We help our customers and patients navigate the health care system by improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner. Pharmacy Technicians play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise.

Responsibilities

• Follow company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Show empathy and provide personalized care at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone
• Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law
• Contribute to a high-performing team and embrace a growth mindset
• Support additional patient health care services like immunizations and point-of-care testing
• Comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles
• Support immunizations by obtaining Technician Immunizer status, educating patients, monitoring adverse reactions, and managing vaccine supplies

Requirements

• Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
• Must have state-level licensure and national certification requirements, which vary by state
• Must have essential functions including regular and predictable attendance, ability to concentrate, and communication skills

Qualifications

• 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations

Pay and Benefits

The typical pay range for this role is $16.00 - $24.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with all federal, state and local laws.
