Job Purpose and Summary

We help our customers and patients navigate the health care system by improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner for every meaningful moment of health. Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise.

Responsibilities

  • Follow company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
  • Support pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
  • Show empathy and genuine care by creating heartfelt and personalized moments, offering immunizations, and demonstrating compassionate care
  • Complete basic inventory activities, as permitted by law, and as directed by pharmacy leadership team
  • Contribute to a high-performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge
  • Support additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics), where allowable by law and supported by required training and certification
  • Support immunizations by completing additional licensure and training requirements, educating patients, monitoring adverse reactions, and reviewing patient information

Requirements

  • Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
  • Must be at least 16 years old if state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program if state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement
  • Must satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to State’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines until completion of training

Qualifications

  • Must complete required training within designated timeframe
  • Must have attention and focus, ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time, and ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
  • Must have mathematical reasoning and problem resolution skills
  • Must have physical demands including mobility, reaching overhead, stretching, lifting up to 20 lbs, and bending

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
  • Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
