Responsibilities

  • Process prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner, including entering prescription information into the pharmacy’s computer system, counting and packaging medications, and labeling prescriptions with patient information.
  • Comply with all federal and state laws, professional standards, and ethical principles related to pharmacy practice.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhere to infection-control protocols, and ensure medications are handled correctly to prevent errors.
  • Manage inventory levels of medications, order medications as necessary, and ensure proper rotation and storage of inventory.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to enhance pharmacy operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician license.
  • PTCB Certification.
