Pharmacy Technician

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• Minimum five (5) years' experience in a pharmacy environment required.
• Knowledge of medications and common indications.
• Understanding of insurance claims, pharmacy benefit manager (PBM), and adjudication procedures preferred.

Essential Abilities

• Ability to accomplish tasks with limited supervision.
• Eagerness to research and learn Medicare law changes year over year.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that regulatory compliance and strict timelines are met, policies are carried out, and objectives are accomplished.
• Participates in staff meetings to ensure appropriate information is reported and communicated.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the Medicare Pharmacy Team with operational duties and tasks.
• Troubleshoots, reports, and follows-up with findings from daily reports.
