A full-time Pharmacy Technician position reporting to our state-of-the-art Papago Park Campus.
Schedule
Wednesday – Saturday, 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM (four 10-hour workdays with three days off every week).

Responsibilities
- Ensure the accurate dispensing and safe handling of medications for animals in the shelter, foster homes, or adoptive homes
- Prepare medications internally for distribution
- Assist team members across multiple departments with medication administration instructions
- Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies and medications
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One to two years' experience at a veterinary hospital, pharmacy, and/or shelter (education may substitute for experience)
- Ability to draw medications in tenth increments for syringe medications
- Excellent customer service skills for internal customers
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Must pass pre-employment drug and background screening (DEA compliance required for dispensing controlled drugs)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Explorer; ability to learn other software programs
- Proficiency with or ability to learn Chameleon software (for shelter animal use)
Work Environment / Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands to handle objects or tools
- Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Exposure to wet floors, animal noises, odors, and dander
- Most time spent in a climate-controlled office environment
