Pharmacy Technician

Description

Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Pharmacy/ Pharmacist, he/she performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system and intravenous admixture program.

• Responsible to maintain confidential reports
• Enter and retrieve data utilizing the computer system
• Prepare medications
• Fills automated medication dispensing system with a supply of unit dose medications
• Procure, and fill requests for pharmaceutical supplies
• Deliver supplies to nursing units

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Six to twelve months of pharmacy experience preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
