About the role

Angell West is seeking a pharmacy technician to join their Waltham team. This role is ideal for a Certified Pharmacy Technician with retail or hospital pharmacy experience who wants to apply and expand their skills in a veterinary practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions
• Communicate with clients regarding prescription needs
• Prepare outgoing mail
• Restock supplies
• Order and maintain clinic, pharmacy, and office inventory
• Receive orders
• Scan medical records
• Maintain an organized workspace

Requirements

• Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed in the state of Massachusetts
• Minimum of one year of previous experience in retail or hospital pharmacy
• Ability to sit or stand for 67%-100% of scheduled shift
• Ability to constantly move about within the pharmacy 67%-100% of scheduled shift
• Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms (e.g., answering telephone, typing, writing, counting pills, labeling, retrieving labels/paper) 67%-100% of scheduled shift
• Ability to frequently retrieve light items (up to 15 lb.) from above eye level or below knee level 34%-67% of scheduled shift
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry bags of food (up to 30 lb.) over short distances (5‑30 ft) or move them between shelves 34%-67% of scheduled shift

Pay

Certified Pharmacy Technicians start at $21‑$28 per hour; candidates with additional experience or credentials may be eligible for compensation aligned with their qualifications.

Schedule

Full‑time, 40‑hour position: Wednesday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with no major holidays required.
