Summary
Evening Shift Acute care pharmacy technicians work within the hospital setting to support patient care and medication needs for admitted patients. In this setting, pharmacy technicians will learn to prepare, dispense, deliver, and triage medications to support the medication distribution workflow. Team members are trained in core competencies with the opportunity for advanced training and professional development. Technicians have opportunity to become highly skilled pharmacy professionals and develop experience in controlled substances, inventory management, compounding sterile and nonsterile preparations, and more.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current or eligible for applicable state(s) license as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Experience: None required.
- Additional Skills/Requirements: Proficient computer skills.
