Pharmacy Technician-3rd shift

Job Responsibilities

  • Medications Orders - Prepares unit dose for cartfill and first doses. Performs non-sterile, non-hazard dose preparation for first fill or cartfill including oral syringe preparation from liquid dosage forms. Delivers patient-specific doses.
  • Compounding - Compounds non-sterile, non-hazardous medications.
  • Phone Triage - Performs outpatient pharmacy phone triage.
  • Medical Claims - Performs insurance adjudication.
  • Inventories Management - Inspects medication storage, interacts with pharmacy automated dispensing machines and hospital computer systems as necessary.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Active registration with the OH Board of Pharmacy.
  • PTCB certified and OH Board of Pharmacy certified within 18 months of hire.
  • Certification from an ASHP accredited program, licensed as a Pharmacy Intern, or 6 months of pharmacy-related experience.
