Position Summary

Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and managing pharmacy operations.

What you'll do...

• Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and related hardware.
• Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise.
• Maintains the Pharmacy area by handling claims and returns, utilizing equipment for merchandising functions, and completing required paperwork.
• Maintains the prescription fulfillment process by processing third-party insurance claims, rescanning images, and addressing inventory issues.
• Provides patient/member service by assisting the pharmacist, processing prescription orders, and resolving issues.
• Enters prescription data into pharmacy software, reads prescriptions, and transcribes prescription information.
• Fills prescriptions by retrieving orders, counting, pouring, measuring, or weighing medications, and operating scanning equipment.
• Verifies and enters patient information into the TaSCO system, retrieves prescriptions, and logs sales of restricted pharmaceutical items.
• Completes work assignments by following policies, data, and resources, and adapting to changes.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by acting with integrity and supporting the Walmart values.
• Serves customers and members by delivering results, balancing short and long-term priorities, and considering the impact on team performance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Meets state requirements for working as a Pharmacy Technician, including minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure.
• Obtains National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB/PTCE or NHA/ExCPT) within 9 months of job entry.
