Position Summary
Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and managing pharmacy operations.
What you'll do...
- Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and related hardware.
- Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise.
- Maintains the Pharmacy area by handling claims and returns, utilizing equipment for merchandising functions, and completing paperwork.
- Maintains the prescription fulfillment process by processing third-party insurance claims, scanning images, and resolving issues.
- Provides patient/member service by assisting with prescription orders, purchases, and purchases decisions.
- Fills prescriptions by retrieving orders, counting, pouring, measuring, or weighing medications, and operating scanning equipment.
- Ensures a safe work environment by completing and retaining required paperwork and logs.
- Completes work assignments by following policies, data, and resources, and identifying priorities and deadlines.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans and adhering to the Open Door Policy.
- Serves customers and members by delivering results, balancing short and long-term priorities, and considering how work impacts the team's ability to deliver on the purpose for all stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT) within 9 months of job entry.
