About the Role
Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Director and according to established procedures, the technician assists pharmacists and other pharmacy personnel in all aspects of hospital pharmacy. This includes preparation, dispensing, and delivery of medications for inpatients and outpatients, maintaining workflow, charging medications, filling Pyxis™ Medstations, crediting and redistributing returns, and assisting in inventory maintenance. The Technician also supports the preparation, dispensing, and delivery of parenteral solutions, maintains IV room workflow, delivers IVs to nursing units, recycles IV products, processes IV returns, and batches IVs and syringes as backup stock.
The role ensures delivery of quality care for patients from neonate through geriatrics.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy personnel in preparing, dispensing, and delivering medications for inpatients and outpatients.
- Maintain workflow by charging medications, filling Pyxis™ Medstations, crediting and redistributing returns, and assisting in inventory maintenance.

- Support the delivery of quality care for a diverse patient population (neonate through geriatrics).
Requirements
- Certified Pharmacy Technician in good standing (CPhT or EXCPT).
- PA Pharmacy Tech Registration.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous hospital experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Pyxis.

Employment Type: Per Diem (PRN per department needs). Weekend and holiday requirements. Shift: Rotating Shift.
