Pharmacy Tech - Outpatient Surgery

About the role

Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency to practice in two (2) or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient).
• Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• This pharmacy is on Northside/Alpharetta Medical Campus and services an outpatient surgery center, an outpatient retail pharmacy, and outpatient imaging services.
• The Pharmacy Tech will be working 20 hours/week (2x10hr days 6:30a-5p).

Requirements

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• One (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
