Pharmacy Tech II-Outpatient

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician II assists the pharmacist with the preparation of medications for dispensing. The technician performs various technical and supportive tasks necessary to provide pharmacy services.

Responsibilities

• Accurate medication preparation following established policy and procedures set forth by the Pharmacy Department.
• Works under supervision of the pharmacist.
• Focuses on providing pharmacy services.
• Maintains compliance with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration, along with other regulatory agencies.
• Takes active part in training technicians and quality improvement projects.

Requirements

• HSD/GED is required.
• Certification/Licensure: CPhT - Certified Pharmacy Technician - State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy is required.

Qualifications

• Mastered job duties and responsibilities.

Skills

• Compliance with state and federal drug laws.
• Training technicians and quality improvement projects.
