Outpatient Pharmacy Tech

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician assists Pharmacists in pharmaceutical preparation, distribution, and record-keeping functions in the delivery of pharmaceutical supplies to patients of all ages in accordance with department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
• Assists the Pharmacist in providing effective drug dispensing services to all patients served by the MedNow pharmacy.
• Assists the Pharmacist in training Pharmacy Technician Trainees in the day-to-day duties of Pharmacy Technicians as assigned by the Director.
• Show excellent mathematical skills required for the preparation and dispensing of medications to patients.
• Show excellent oral and written communication skills for routine interaction with hospital staff, patients, and visitors.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed Pharmacy Technician with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy
• National Certification (CPhT, ExCPT or equivalent) preferred with under 2 years’ experience.
