About the role

This position assists the pharmacist in the preparation of medications for patient use (oral and parenteral) according to established procedures; assists in the distribution of medications, record keeping, and billing functions; maintains inventory levels; performs assigned operational duties in a scheduled area and will assist pharmacists in completing medication orders and related distribution duties in the assigned areas.

Responsibilities

  • Aids in the preparation of medications for patient use (oral and parenteral) according to established procedures.
  • Aids in the distribution of medications, record keeping, and billing functions.
  • Maintains inventory levels.
  • Performs assigned operational duties in a scheduled area.
  • Aids in the completion of medication orders and related distribution duties in the assigned areas.

Requirements

  • Must have two to five (2 - 5) years of previous (Inpatient) Pharmacy Tech experience.
  • Proven knowledge of pharmacy terminology and calculations.
  • Strong computer experience and accurate data entry skills.
  • Excellent detail and organizational skills to sort, file and retrieve information.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage assigned workload within deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with IV sterile compounding preparation.
  • Two (2) years of experience in an Inpatient hospital setting.

Special Conditions

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay, Benefits & Schedule

Annual Full Pay Range: $54,998 - $68,403 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%).

Hourly Equivalent: $26.34 - $32.76
