About the role

The role involves performing a full range of duties in a retail pharmacy setting, assisting pharmacists in preparation of medications, distribution of medications, and other assigned operational duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in preparation of medications for patient use according to established procedures.
• Facilitate in the distribution of medications including delivery of medications to the patient's bedside (Med-2-Bed program).
• Perform computer order entry, record keeping, and billing functions.
• Maintain inventory levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
• Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of Five (5) years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Experience in project management/system responsibility (e.g. Pyxis, narcotic control, QI, or pharmacy buyer/biller/analyst).
• Or is a Pharmacy School graduate.
• Expanded responsibilities over several areas.
• Possess a Pharmacy Intern License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meds To Beds Program or equivalent.
• At least 2 years experience with medication ordering and inventory management or equivalent.
• 340b regulatory knowledge and background.
• Comfortable with public speaking and able to promote a justifiable position.
• Flexible to address any pharmacy need that may arise, especially those that are unexpected or sudden.

• Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
• Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay

Annual Full Pay Range: $71,138 - $88,427 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%).

Hiring Pay Scale: $32.45 - $40.33 / Hour.

Schedule

Days, 8 Hour Shifts, Monday-Friday.
