Pharmacy Tech I
Requirements
- Must be licensed Pharmacy Tech with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy or Oregon Board of Pharmacy, based on the state worked.
- National Certification (CPhT, ExCPT or equivalent) preferred with under 3 years’ experience.
What You Will Do
Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
Assists the pharmacist in preparing prescriptions, which includes various material resource management, dispensing, clerical, and billing duties.
Revenue management: ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients.
Participates in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities.
Understands the limitations to performing certain responsibilities of a registered technician in dispensing medications and remains within the scope of practice.
Transports medications to patient rooms or nursing medication rooms.
Retrives unused medications from patient rooms or nursing areas.
