Pharmacy Supervisor
Responsibilities
- Assists in various activities of the pharmacy department including supervising and directing day-to-day services, functions, operations, and activities.
- Supervises and directs the activities of pharmacists and/or pharmacy technicians, sets schedules, and assigns daily work assignments.
- Oversight of process improvement activities, acting as a liaison between the pharmacy department and other hospital departments, providers, and external customers.
- Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure compliance with organizational, federal, state, and Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.
- Hires, trains, directs, develops, and evaluates pharmacists and/or pharmacy technicians.
- Performs technical duties such as maintaining patient records, performing pharmacist and/or pharmacy technician training, supervising use of automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs), and maintaining quality assurance programs.
Qualifications
- Current state Registered Pharmacist License required.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
- 3 or more years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Experience with hospital computer systems, spreadsheets, word processing programs, and other databases required.
- Applicable board certification preferred.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $110K to $171K on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
