About the role

Manage day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, supervising staff, maintaining workflow, and providing leadership. Demonstrates ongoing growth and development through self-reflection, competency development, and role modeling the “Grow myself, grow my team, and grow Monument Health (G3) Leadership Competencies” to promote the Monument Health vision and mission.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately, safely, and efficiently dispense the correct medication in accordance with practitioner orders and in compliance with all policies, regulations, and laws.
  • Counsel all patients receiving new medication therapy, providing pertinent information to ensure patient compliance.
  • Initiate or arrange follow-up for medication dispensing and supply ordering questions.
  • Maintain accurate and complete controlled substance record keeping.
  • Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, therapeutic duplications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, drug-disease interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of drug and dose.
  • Assist leadership in effective fiscal management of the department as evidenced by observation and feedback.
  • Organize and maintain efficient workflow within the pharmacy.
  • Participate in the interview and evaluation process for clinical staff.
  • Responsible for pharmacist and technician staff scheduling.
  • Coordinate new and ongoing training of pharmacy staff.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
  • Pharmacist License from an accredited university or accredited training professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of leadership experience.
  • 1+ years of pharmaceutical experience.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Schedule

Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Requires the ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department.
