Pharmacy Supervisor

About the role

The Pharmacy Supervisor assumes responsibility for the functioning of the Department in the absence of the Director of Pharmacy. This role participates with other members of the healthcare team in helping patients of all ages achieve positive clinical outcomes and performs effectively as a staff pharmacist when required.

The Pharmacy Supervisor understands the rules and regulations of pharmacy and supports adherence to those rules and regulations throughout the department. They serve as a resource to other pharmacy staff members and appropriately resolve or escalate employee concerns.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department operations in the absence of the Director of Pharmacy.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure positive clinical outcomes for patients of all ages.
• Perform duties of a staff pharmacist as needed.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy rules and regulations.
• Act as a resource and mentor for pharmacy staff, addressing concerns or escalating issues as appropriate.
