About the role
Supports and assists the Pharmacist in the preparation, distribution, and inventory control of medication and performs other duties as necessary for the provision of patient-focused pharmacy services.
Responsibilities
- Affixes labels to medications and prepares them for distribution.
- Assists with training of pharmacy technicians.
- Has been trained and is a resource person for specialty areas.
- Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and Service Standards.
Requirements
- Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school and in their 3rd year of pharmacy school.
- Requires valid Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern License per state to be registered with the state of practice Board of Pharmacy and in good standing.
Qualifications
- Must have met all the requirements of Pharmacy Student or Intern II Certification/Registration.
