Pharmacy Specialist
About the role
Under direct supervision of a pharmacist and in accordance with specific and detailed instructions, this position assists in the packaging, manufacturing, distribution of drugs and supplies. It involves performing various non-judgmental functions in all areas of the department including ambulatory and inpatient drug distribution, sterile product preparation, manufacturing and packaging as well as provision of ambulatory services.

Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program or equivalent on the job training
- Valid NYS Pharmacy Technician license
- Valid PTCB certification
- Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and inventory control practice and procedures
- Excellent communications, customer service and business interpersonal skills
- PC, Windows and other business or pharmacy computer system literacy
- Ability to work every other weekend

Pay
$37.54 hourly rate, subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors.
Schedule
7:30 am - 4:00 pm, must be able to work every other weekend.
