About the role

The Medication Assistance Liaison acts as a liaison between the patient and organization or manufacturer while supporting the organization objectives of quality customer service. The medication assistance liaison focuses on free drug enrollments and applications, copay assistance and/or prior authorizations in addition to any medication assistance needs. Additionally, this role coordinates care to ensure completion of all assigned activities and conducts necessary research to determine eligibility for various programs and benefits. The reimbursement specialist I may need to analyze reports or queues to assess each patient for eligibility. This role may also work closely with pharmaceutical manufacturers and vendor representatives for continuous customer service and follow up.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between the patient and organization or manufacturer

  • Focus on free drug enrollments and applications, copay assistance, and prior authorizations
  • Coordinate care to ensure completion of all assigned activities
  • Conduct research to determine eligibility for various programs and benefits
  • Analyze reports or queues to assess patient eligibility
  • Work closely with pharmaceutical manufacturers and vendor representatives for customer service and follow-up

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certification/experience
  • PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Critical thinking skills and effective communication
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action when required

Pay

Estimated pay range for this position is $22.53 - $29.29 per hour depending on experience.
