Responsibilities
- Manages pharmacy operations by implementing and maintaining best practices as defined through legal and national standards.
- Develops comprehensive quality programs to assure medication safety (follow-up on PSN reports for workflow changes as needed).
- Maintains area workflow according to defined metrics to assure all duties are performed in an efficient manner.
- Directs workflow and monitors productivity.
- Meets patient care needs.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Experience: Five years of pharmacist experience to include three years in a supervisory/managerial role. Completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 pharmacy administrative residency program can substitute for required experience.
- Certification: Texas State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist license within 90 days of job entry. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of job entry.
- Preferred Education: Doctorate (Professional)
- Preferred Experience: Supervisory experience with an advanced degree. Experience with Epic Electronic Health Record.
