Pharmacy Liaison

About the role

Shields Health Solutions is redefining patient care through specialty pharmacy. We’re hiring a Pharmacy Liaison—a Specialty Pharmacy Technician who will work onsite in a hospital clinic or hospital office building to support patients with medication adherence and personalized pharmacy services.

Onsite for training with the potential to transition to a hybrid schedule. Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 6:00PM CST. Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License AND Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clinic teams to deliver hands-on patient care.
• Process prior authorizations, resolve insurance issues, and support financial assistance.
• Educate patients on pharmacy services and assist with specialty and retail prescriptions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

• State-registered (Texas) Pharmacy Technician; CPhT required.
• 5+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician;
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong communication, organization, and tech skills
• Empathy, integrity, and a team-first mindset
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for communication, documentation, and data management, as well as, navigating the internet and web-based platforms.
