Pharmacy Intern - Inpatient

As a Pharmacy Intern at Lutheran Hospital, you will develop knowledge and skills in pharmacy. You will gain hands-on experience through direct patient interactions, team collaboration and proper dosing training, preparing you for a bright and exciting future in healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug related issues.
- Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.
- Compound and prepare medications for delivery to patient care areas.
- Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
- Communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy Program meeting education requirements to qualify for an Intern License in the State of Ohio OR international pharmacy experience meeting the requirements to qualify for the Foreign Graduate Pharmacy Intern License
- Current State Board of Pharmacy Intern License (PH/INT) before hire
Qualifications
- Ability to perform job while standing, reaching, stretching and sitting for prolonged periods; manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions of job.
Skills
- Knowledge of pharmacology and pharmacy practice.
- Ability to communicate effectively with medical staff and patients.
- Basic computer skills.

Pay
Minimum hourly: $23.00 Maximum hourly: $23.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).
Schedule
A caregiver who excels in this role works rotating days/evenings from 8:00AM – 4:30PM or 1:00PM – 9:30PM.
