Pharmacy Fulfillment Technician (Days/1st Shift)
Responsibilities
- Accurately fill daily drug orders in a timely manner under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Assist in processing returned drugs and manage recycling or disposal according to procedure.
- Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store them during low volume times.
- Pull and pick medications from shelving and other storage areas.
- Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks.
- Alert the pharmacist on duty regarding any medication or product scanning issues.
- Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish stock supplies as needed.
- Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
- Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required or expected.
- Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work at a moderate speed.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Active IL Pharmacy Technician License issued by the IL Board of Pharmacy.
Essential Skills
- Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
- Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification through PTCB or NHA.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Experience in a closed door pharmacy is preferred but not required.
Work Environment
- The position requires the ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the day, with potential extended hours.
- The role involves handling office equipment and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Visual acuity is necessary for reading fine print, and specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment.
- The work environment includes a shift differential of 10% added to the base pay for hours worked after 5pm.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
