Pharmacy Floor Manager

Responsibilities

• Maintain efficient workflow and regulatory compliance.
• Process, package, dispense, and coordinate medication delivery.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Cookbook staffing and productivity.
• Coordinate with pharmacists, nursing facilities, and other departments.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Train, mentor, and support pharmacy technicians and operational staff.
• Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, corrective action, and recognition.
• Afford adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands.
• Conduct routine audits of medication processing and dispensing activities.
• Investigate and document medication errors, discrepancies, and operational incidents.
• Ensure proper handling and documentation of controlled substances.
• Support regulatory inspections and accreditation surveys.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, medication storage, and expiration date management.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve operational issues.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Complete any other tasks assigned by managers.

Requirements

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Texas.
• Four-year degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• Three to five years’ Long Term Care Pharmacy experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Driven and motivated problem-solver.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and pharmacy software applications.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Detail oriented.
• Able to work overtime with little or no notice.
