Pharmacy Customer Service Representative

About the role

Animal Dermatology Group (ADG) is the largest veterinary dermatology business in the U.S., managing three divisions: Animal Dermatology Clinic (ADC), Animal Dermatopathology Services (ADS), and Animal Immunotherapy Services (AIS). ADC operates large, multi‑doctor referral practices specializing in veterinary dermatology nationwide and internationally. ADS provides expert interpretation of animal skin biopsy specimens, while AIS produces oral and injectable immunotherapy for allergic pets. ADG also participates in drug/product development, clinical trials, and runs the largest approved American College of Veterinary Dermatology residency training program. AIS is seeking a veterinary Pharmacy Customer Service Representative to work cooperatively with ADG management, AIS team members, and referring veterinary clinic staff to ensure safe, accurate, and timely delivery of allergy medications to veterinarians and their clients.

Responsibilities

• Triage allergy vaccine requests and fill new orders accurately and efficiently
• Communicate effectively and provide excellent phone‑based customer service
• Use computer and client management software to provide medications timely, ensure accurate billing, and update client records
• Order and restock inventory to maximize turnover, prevent out‑of‑stocks, and minimize expired allergens
• Ensure correct storage conditions for medications, check for expired drug products and defects, and remove them from inventory
• Maintain and troubleshoot in‑house processes
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of experience as a veterinary receptionist and/or technician
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology, weights and measures, and pharmacy calculations
• Ability to communicate verbally with coworkers and clients
• Ability to stand for extended periods, type at least 30 words per minute, lift up to 35 pounds, bend, squat, stoop, and reach above and below shoulder level

Pay

$20 - 25/hour depending on experience

Schedule

A 5/8 work week (Monday through Friday) with the possibility of a 4/10 work week
