Pharmacy Coordinator- Antibiotic Stewardship

About the role

The Pharmacy Coordinator, within the Department of Pharmacy, is a key leadership position for a pharmacist, with responsibilities for being a team lead, coordinating a program/practice group, or being a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a specific area.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a leader for the Department of Pharmacy.
  • Manage, and/or coordinate employees within a work unit. Assist, or is responsible for recruiting and onboarding of staff in the work unit.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key leaders in specialty area.
  • Maintain familiarity with all Division and Departmental programs and initiatives.
  • Be responsible for personal and professional competency and growth.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree, or, BS Pharmacy Degree and eligible for license as a Pharmacist by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
  • Two years of pharmacy practice experience required.
  • Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience is strongly preferred and PGY2 Specialty Residency in area of specialty is strongly preferred.
  • Managerial or supervisor experience, if applicable, is preferred.
  • Licensed Pharmacist or eligible to practice pharmacy in North Carolina. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required for employment.
  • Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) in area of specialty, if applicable, is strongly preferred.

Qualifications
