About the role

Rady Children’s Health seeks to hire a Medical Scribe (Per Diem) for the Physiatry department at Children's Specialist of San Diego.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during patient encounters by documenting patient history, physical exams, and other relevant information accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare charts and ensure all necessary documentation is completed before patient visits.
• Provide support to physicians during consultations and procedures, including but not limited to taking notes, managing charts, and ensuring accurate documentation.
• Ensure all patient information is up-to-date and accessible to the physician during patient visits.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to documentation and patient care.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in healthcare documentation or clerical work is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Pass background check.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
