About the role
The Pharmacy Benefits Account Manager (PBAM) is a new role in a rapidly growing team. The PBAM will support the HUB Pharmacy practice in delivering PBM strategy and data-driven analysis. This position works directly with Pharmacy Consultants to support the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, create ad-hoc reports, and prepare drafts of client-facing deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded understanding of pharmacy benefits, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and prepare pharmacy data for analysis and deliverables.
- Use multiple tools and access points to obtain data, identifying and addressing inconsistencies.
- Proactively manage projects, workload, initiatives, and assignments as determined by the HUB Pharmacy Practice team.
- Manage, track, and update core business activities for tracking and business advancement purposes.
- Support lead pharmacy consultants on client engagements and meetings.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of standardized pharmacy team operations workflows and analytics strategies.
- Establish productive and professional relationships with all members of the HUB Pharmacy Practice.
- Some travel is required.
Requirements
- 4+ years of work experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) and/or pharmacy consulting.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of the PBM industry, stakeholders, intermediaries, and buyers.
- Experience evaluating and explaining various PBM models, pricing types, and products.
- Strong understanding of the PBM contracting life cycle.
- Experience managing and updating CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Monday.com).
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and adapt to a dynamic environment.
- Six Sigma designation is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in producing work deliverables and performing reasonability reviews of pharmacy reports and analytics.
- Established history of working independently in remote or office environments.
- Ability to approach tasks with urgency to meet deadlines in a cross-functional environment.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), including:
- Outlook: Managing email volume and calendar.
- Excel: Using basic and advanced data lookup and arithmetic functions (e.g., VLookup, SUMIFS).
- PowerPoint: Assembling content in standardized templates.
- Word: Reviewing, tracking edits, and making document comparisons.
- Power Business Intelligence (BI) experience preferred.
- Ability and desire to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple daily priorities.

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
