Pharmacy Assistant – Part-Time, Permanent Internal/External Posting #HC04-26-03

Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ recent related experience as a pharmacy assistant
• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills with patients and other healthcare providers
• Excellent planning, prioritization and time management skills
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
• Experience with WinRx Pharmacy software
• Experience with handling cash/card payments and using cash registers
• Must complete a Criminal Record Check if hired

• Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat

Additional Assets

• Fluency in identified non-official languages based on neighborhood demographics
• Previous experience working with culturally and economically diverse populations and marginalized communities
• Basic computer skills with troubleshooting connection to printers and other pharmacy related devices

Job Details

• Compensation: $26.16 – $29.30 per hour
• Paid vacation starting at 2 weeks per year (prorated for FTE)
• Paid sick days
• Schedule: 14.5 hours/week (0.41 FTE)
• Mondays 9:30 am to 5:30 pm; Tuesdays 9:30am to 5pm
• One 60-minute lunch break (30 minutes paid, 30 minutes unpaid)
• Availability to provide relief/sick coverage for other Pharmacy Assistants on weekdays
• Location: RISE CHC Pharmacy, 5198 Joyce Street Vancouver, BC V5R 4H1
• Expected Start Date: August 24, 2026
• A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required
