Pharmacy Support Assistant (Part Time)

Responsibilities

• Delivers medical supplies, transports incoming and outgoing parcels, mail, supplies, medications and goods to locations inside and outside of UnityPoint Health.
• Ensures items transported are properly labeled and packaged prior to transport to ensure safety of driver and goods.
• Uses logs to confirm time of delivery and/or receipt of goods transported.
• Maintains order and cleanliness in all areas worked.
• Participates on teams to enhance team member satisfaction, analyze workflow and work toward continued efficiency improvements.
• Works closely with others to ensure supplies are available timely in the correct location.
• Assists pharmacy team as needed, which can include stocking supplies in inventory or customer areas, assisting at the drive-up window and other support person duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Registered as a support person with the Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work accurately and quickly with numerous interruptions.
• Ability to maintain a clean, orderly work environment using efficient processes.
• Must be able to work safely with minimal supervision and assume timely completion of duties.
• Performs basic math calculations.
• Communicate effectively in person and via phone.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position including motor vehicles and carts.
