About the role
Safeguards the patient by screening their drug regimen for allergies, drug interactions, proper drug and proper dosing and therapeutic duplication.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the dispensing of all medication
- Provides the correct medication in the correct strength and dosage form to the correct patient in a safe and timely manner
- Consistent with professional judgment, hospital policies and the laws governing the practice of pharmacy
- Performs special assignments as directed by the Director of Pharmacy or other pharmacist supervisors
Requirements
- Current license to practice pharmacy in the state of [State]
- Experience in a clinical pharmacy setting preferred
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Passing score on the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX)
