Pharmacist PRN

Responsibilities

• Fill and dispense medication orders.
• Handle, use, and store drugs according to department standards.
• Provide information to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug-related information.
• Coordinate drug therapies with the medical staff and nursing teams.
• Participate in the Antibiotic Stewardship Program to ensure patient safety and public health.
• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients across various age groups.
• Lead in the absence of the Director as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college/school of pharmacy.
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state of employment.
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
• Experience with pharmacokinetics and anticoagulation preferred.
• TPN experience preferred.
• Current, valid and active BLS and ACLS certifications from a Vibra-approved vendor.
• Previous acute care experience preferred.
• Automated pharmacy dispensing experience preferred.
• IV Laminar flow hood experience preferred.
• Electronic medical records experience preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.

• Proficient in computer and software applications used in job functions.

Pay

Compensation and benefits will be commensurate with experience.
