About the role
Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. The role of a Pharmacist is central to ensuring compassionate, excellent care throughout the recovery process.
Responsibilities
- Having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixtures.
- Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
- Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after discharge.
- Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
- Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
- Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
- Current State licensure required.
- BLS if required by State.
Qualifications
- Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency preferred.
Skills
- Working knowledge of pharmaceutical services.
- Ability to provide clinical support in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and patient education skills.
- Experience with drug distribution systems and IV admixtures.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Pay
- $65/PRN rate.
Schedule
- PRN/As Needed - weekend and holiday coverage needed.
