Pharmacist PRN

About the role

The SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital is a joint venture with Select Medical and SSM Health. This position is open for a Pharmacist starting from August 24th, 2026 or later, located inside St. Joseph's Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO. The schedule is PRN with 1 weekend per month (Saturday and Sunday) and occasional other days.

Responsibilities

• Having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixtures.
• Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after discharge.
• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency preferred.

Skills

• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical services.
• Ability to provide clinical support in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience maintaining adequate drug supplies.
• Effective communication skills for patient instruction.
• Ability to develop and participate in training programs.
• Knowledge of patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Strong commitment to promoting quality improvement.

Benefits

• Part time/Per Diem positions are eligible for 401k based on reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or subsequent calendar year.

Pay

• $62/PRN Rate

Schedule

• PRN/ 1 weekend a month (Sat/Sun) and the occasional mutually agreed upon days during the week.
