Pharmacist - Part Time

Responsibilities

• Maintain staffing to meet patient needs and productivity of department.
• Promote staff development and enhancement of patient services.
• Maintain all required licensure and Policies and Procedures to meet legal requirements.
• Maintain good relations with other departments and members of the medical staff.
• Work with I.S. to maintain and develop pharmacy computer applications for patient are activities and billing.
• Establish and implement mechanisms to monitor, evaluate, and improve quality, safety, and customer service for the department.
• Supervise, develops, mentors pharmacy staff.
• Affiliate in monitoring of inventory system including: ordering, storage, delivery and pricing.
• Tracks and communicates back order and medication shortages informing the Pharmacist-In-Charge and/or Director of Psychiatric Practices.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Normal office environment.
• Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and occasional lifting.
• Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator, and other office equipment as needed.
• Requires ability to remain calm during stressful events, to occasionally work irregular hours, and work with exasperated individuals.
• Occasional lifting to 50 pounds.
