Pharmacist-Inpatient-Evening shift, 7-on/7-off

About the role

The pharmacist oversees the daily operations within the department to ensure the safe and appropriate processing and delivery of medications to the patients. The pharmacist is responsible for reviewing and verifying medication orders and completing the final check for medication dispensing. The pharmacist monitors patient drug therapies, provides drug information, and promotes medication safety. The pharmacist supports and supervises the pharmacy technicians. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, the pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations to ensure safe and appropriate processing and delivery of medications
• Review and verify medication orders and complete final checks for medication dispensing
• Maintain and monitor patient drug therapies
• Provide drug information and promote medication safety
• Support and supervise pharmacy technicians
• Assume essential responsibilities and perform duties of the pharmacy manager in the absence of the manager

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD Degree is required
• RPh Ohio - Registered pharmacist - Ohio State Board of Pharmacy is required
