About the role

We are seeking a Pharmacist Extern to join our team. As our pharmacist extern you will provide clinical pharmacy services for all patients and ensure the safe procurement, preparation, labeling, distribution and control of all medications under the supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist in the assessment of medication orders; review appropriateness of drugs ordered, dosage, route and interactions.
• Work under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist in reviewing, overseeing and ensuring the quality of the technician’s work.
• Work under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist in ensuring medications are safely dispensed to inpatients and outpatients of neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric ages.

Requirements

• AACP in the process of completing practicum to obtain hours to be eligible to take Board Examination for a licensed Pharmacist.
• Current FL Internship Licensure.
