Pharmacist Clinical Inpatient

About the role

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option. It supports oncology patients in the inpatient oncology setting, including medical oncology and hematologic malignancies, playing a crucial role in their care.

Responsibilities

• Support oncology patients in the inpatient oncology setting, including medical oncology and hematologic malignancies, playing a crucial role in their care.
• Establish a strong clinical pharmacy practice focused on patient-centered care.
• Medication Management: Comprehensive medication reviews, order verification, and patient counseling.
• Treatment Optimization: Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize drug therapy plans, ensuring efficacy and safety.
• Specialized Oncology Expertise: Develop proficiency in intravenous and oral anti-cancer therapies for both solid and hematologic malignancies.
• Operational Excellence: Contribute to the efficient operation of pharmacy services within the oncology areas, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
• State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
• Prior inpatient experience is preferred.
• Board certification in area of expertise within 1 year of employment preferred.

Qualifications

• PGY2 residency in Oncology, OR PGY1 residency + 1 years of Oncology Clinical experience, OR no residency and 3 years of Oncology Clinical experience preferred.

Pay

$59.80 - $83.72 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Schedule

Part Time, 56.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks), 7 on 7 off evenings with weekend day shift Shift: Days and Evenings
