About the role

Lifemed is a closed-door pharmacy, allowing pharmacists to focus on patient care, safety, and collaboration without the distractions of a traditional retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care
• Serve patients by preparing medications and providing pharmacological information to multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Monitor patient drug therapies and recommend interventions when appropriate
• Provide pharmacological expertise by answering questions from healthcare professionals and counseling on drug therapies
• Ensure safe, accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals
• Operations & Workflow
• Oversee pharmacy operations by organizing and directing workflow of Pharmacy Technicians
• Verify preparation, labeling, and order entry of medications
• Ensure accuracy of charges, inspections, and overall workflow efficiency
• Supervise and support pharmacy support personnel
• Compliance & Safety
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
• Maintain controlled substance records and remove outdated or damaged medications
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment
• Customer Service & Collaboration
• Consult with multidisciplinary care teams across facility locations
• Demonstrate genuine care and commitment to patient outcomes
• Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers

Qualifications

• Active California Pharmacist license (required)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Experience in long-term care or closed-door pharmacy preferred (not required)
