Pharmacist

About the role

Serves as a clinical pharmacist providing direct pharmaceutical care for patients within the Indian Health Service. This position is considered as the major source of pharmaceutical clinical information and is expected to manage selected patients with chronic disease states, as well as providing pharmaceutical care for acute patients.

Responsibilities

• Provides pharmaceutical care for patients within the Indian Health Service.
• Maintains and updates patient medication records.
• Manages selected patients with chronic disease states.
• Provides pharmaceutical care for acute patients.

Requirements

A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Qualifications

PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited college or university.

Current license to practice pharmacy in at least one state.

Experience in providing pharmaceutical care for patients within the Indian Health Service.

Skills

Strong knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
